Tim lived a life of great accomplishments - Leo

Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representative, Rt. Hon. Leo Okuweh Ogor, on Thursday described the death of the former Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Tim Owhefere, as shocking and devastating.

Rt. Hon. Leo Ogor, who lamented the demise of the legislator when the PDP Isoko North Political Class, visited the family at Akiewhe-Owhe, said the visit was very difficult for them to undertake, "because Tim is a beloved ally and brother who they will dearly miss".

The Former Minority Leader of the Federal House of Representative, appealed to the family members, friends and colleagues to accept the passing away of the lawmaker by taking solace in the fact that he lived a life of great accomplishments.

"This is one visit that is heart-breaking for me and the entire PDP Isoko North. Hon Tim Owhefere was a true friend in politics and a true friend in governance."

"Myself and indeed all of us has lost a true friend and we have lost one of the best legislative brains. But no matter how much we miss him, the pain in the family is worse, but can we truly question God?, the answer is No."

"He came into this world and made his very strong impact within the family circle, his home and his constituency and made a strong impact in Isoko nation and indeed the entire state. He contributed his quota to the development of Isoko and the State," Rt Hon. Leo said.

Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, Pioneer Speaker, DTHA and Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural and Community Development, on his part, urged every mourner to be consoled because life is like a market where people come in and go out.

"Personally, I miss Tim so much because he was more than a political associate to me, but it has happened and nothing I can do"

"It is not easy to replace or replicate somebody like Tim because he had his own special ways. He lived a good life and he left a very warm relationship with us all and we have so many good stories to tell about him."

"I appeal to you all to look up to God who is able to fill the gap. It can be very painful at the beginning but with time the pain heals," Okoro stated.

Responding on behalf of the family, Chief Job Owhefere thanked the PDP Isoko North Political Class for their show of love right from time to the late lawmaker and his family

"I welcome you all to the family. My brother Tim always spoke glowingly of the love you people shared together as one big family; We have confirmed that before and same you all have just confirmed for us again. We the family sincerely appreciate our great leader, Rt. Hon. Leo Ogor and indeed all present here."

"He was the star of the family as the family depended on him, and it is no doubt an irreparable loss but as Christians we have been admonished not to mourn like the heathen and to what our Pioneer Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro has said "that in everything we should give thanks to God."

The visit had in attendance, Dr. Paul Oweh, Commissioner representing Isoko Ethnic Nationality at DESOPADEC;  Deacon Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Chairman PDP Isoko North chapter;  Engr. Jonathan Ukodhiko;  Deacon Sunny Elueni;  Hon. Fred Olori amongst others.
