Your position is well deserved - Okoro to Isoko Development Union ( IDU ) new President, ...charge him to lead with fear of God.



The Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Rural and Community Development, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, has commended the newly elected President General of Isoko Development Union, IDU, Professor Christopher Akpotu, for his leadership skills that has brought him thus far.


Rt. Hon. Okoro, in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Comrade Oku Victory, called on the people of Isoko Nation to continue giving their support to the newly elected administration, so as to attract more development project, even as he charged the Prof. Akpotu's led administration to lead with the fear of God.


"On behalf of my family and Office of the Special Adviser on Rural & Community Development, I rejoice with you my brother, Prof. Chris Akpotu on your well deserved position as the President General of Isoko Development Union."


"I am very excited about what the future holds for the Isoko people under your leadership in the coming years. Bestowed on you is an onerous task and I would therefore implore you to be a fearless, innovative and assertive leader that would project the Isoko nation in the light of our peculiar federal  deprivations."


"I charge you to lead with the fear of God. It is only with God Almighty, that one can succeed in anything he or she does. One of your major tasks would be to ensure the continued collective unity, maintenance of peace and tranquility in Isoko land. I pray God in his infinite mercy to guide you all through."



Okoro, who was the Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, went further by commending Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the infrastructural support for Isoko Nation and indeed the entire State.  


He expressed confidence that the year ahead would certainly be better as more development projects are expected to be executed by His Excellency by God's grace.
