LG Polls: Umukoro, Ovoro Congratulate Okoro on Heading Isoko North Campaign Council



Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Hon Ajiri Umukoro and the Chairman PDP Ofagbe Ward 04, Mr. Fredrick Ovoro, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro on his emergence as the Chairman and Director-General of the PDP Isoko North Campaign Council for the March 6 Local government election.


Hon Ajiri Umukoro and Mr Fredrick Ovoro in their separate congratulatory messages earlier today, Saturday, February 20, 2021 believe Hon. Okoro who is the Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, is the right person for the job, assuring him of their support in his new role.


They also congratulated the PDP Ofagbe Councilorship flag bearer, Comr. Lawrence Abarosah.


“Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro is a man I know very well. He is a great leader who has meritoriously served our nation in various capacities, most notably as Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly”, Umukoro began in his statement.


“We would not need anyone who thinks they can be champion. We would need someone who has actually and serially championed the game before and that person has emerged.”



The Chairman PDP Ofagbe Ward 04, Mr Fredrick Ovoro, on his part, noted that he had followed Rt. Hon. Emma Okoro's leadership over the years, described him as one of the most “renowned” citizens of Ofagbe Kingdom and Delta State at large.


“On behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ofagbe Ward 04, I join all in congratulating one of our most renowned citizens and Leader, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, on his emergence as the Chairman and Director-General of the PDP Isoko North Campaign Council for the March 6 Local government polls", Ovoro said also.


“Over the years as our distinguish leader, we have all followed your growth and celebrated your noteworthy achievements. This is why, as you begin your new role at the helm of the PDP Isoko North, I want you to know that you have the unwavering support of both your party and people at home."


Recalling; Vice Chairman PDP Delta South, Chief Julius Takeme and Chairman PDP Isoko North LGA chapter, Deacon Prince Godwin Ogorugba inaugurated the Campaign Council and handed flags to all party Councilorship candidates in the area, on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Party Secretariat, in Ozoro, Isoko North LGA of Delta State.

According to the statement released by the son of the deceased, Chief Onisuru Odiriverere Salami, there would be a Service of Songs on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Chief Salami Ajakaye Compound, Urhuoka - Abraka, by 4:00 pm. The Funeral Service is to be held the next day, Friday, September 16, 2022 by 10:00am prompt, at the Campus 1 Field, Delta State University, Abraka and it will be anchored by the First Baptist Church, Urhuoka - Abraka. The reception/entertainment of guests would follow immediately at the same venue, Delta State University Abraka, Campus 1 Field.
