LG Polls: Okowa's Legacies Will Deliver Victory For PDP Candidates - OKORO
The legacies of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa at the grass-roots will propel the People's Democratic Party, PDP, to victory at the March 6, 2021 local government elections, said Pioneer Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro.
Rt. Hon. Okoro, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural and Community Development and also Chairman/Director-General of the PDP's campaign council in Isoko North Local Government Area, made the assertion on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 when he led a Mega Rally of PDP Isoko North Local Government Election Campaign Train to Ofagbe Kingdom.
Hon Emma Okoro, urged all members of the party to be united and support the candidates to achieve desired result for PDP.
He stressed the numerous achievements of Governor Okowa's administration since 2015, particularly in Ofagbe Kingdom; the party had many projects to campaign with, even as he expressed the optimism of overwhelming victory for PDP.
In his words, "As we all know, the election of chairmen and counselors has been slated for March 6, 2021. Our Chairman who is to represent us at the Isoko North local government Council is Hon. Deacon Christian Iteire and our Councilor is Comr. Lawrence Abarosah. We must ensure they win it all"
"I must hit on it very well that our Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has done noble in our Kingdom, such as renovation of Ofagbe Technical College; Oketa Mixed Crammar School; Oria-Ovo Primary School; Ibakpa Primary School and most especially, the approved reconstruction of Ellu, Ofagbe Okpe-Isoko and Ada Road; which we know very well will engage many of our youths in one way or the other."
"So, get yourselves acquainted with all the projects executed because they are proofs that PDP government is a good government and make sure you vote PDP come March 6 without a second thought in order for us to enjoy more dividends of democracy," Okoro said.
On his side, the Ward Coordinator, Prince Ezie Okotiebor, appealed beckoned on aggrieved persons to forgive any wrong the PDP has done and put the interest of the party first.
Responding, the PDP Ofagbe Ward Chairman, Mr. Fredrick Ovoro, appreciated all party leaders and party faithfuls, most especially the Edio Council of Chiefs and Egweya Council, for turning out enmassed for the campaign. He also joyfully assured that by the grace of God, PDP's victory on Saturday March 6 will be one hundred percent.
The ceremony was opened and closed by a prayer said by Bishop Dr. Jonah Okriko.
