Delta Pioneer Speaker, Dr Okoro Congratulates Governor Okowa At 62
THE Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Rural and Community Development, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, Ph.D, has felicitated with the State Governor, His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as he turns 62 years on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
Dr Okoro, who doubles as Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, in a statement issued in Asaba by his Special Assistant on Media, Comrade Victory Oku and made public to Raw Reporters, described Governor Okowa as “a great bridge builder, adding that he is a blessing to Deltans.
His statement reads; “Governor Okowa has transformed Delta State in the last six years when he assumed office as Governor in the face of dwindling economy. He came into office for a second term two year ago, with a promise of building a stronger Delta and you will agree with me that based on his Policies and Programmes executed thus far, even in this trying times, he has performed exceptionally well beyond expectations.
“As a grassroot politician, our amiable Governor with his wealth of experience has steadily moved Delta State towards the right direction, meeting the yearnings and aspirations of Deltans.
“So far, Governor Okowa has done well in the development of most urban areas with the establishment of the Ministry of Urban Renewal. In order to tackle the underdevelopment of Rural Communities, he created the office of the Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development, which is very well on course to building a stronger Delta.
“And as someone who has witness successive Administration in our dear State since her creation and seen governments come and go, I can conveniently tell you without any equivocation that Okowa has done well in the provision of infrastructure, social and human capital development, and especially his thought of putting in action the development of Rural communities across the State.
“As you mark today Your Excellency, I pray God Almighty grant you many more years with good health and wisdom in piloting the affairs of our State and beyond,” Okoro stated.
