Okowa is source of pride and blessing to the vast majority – Omoru

...says Gov. Okowa needs someone of his pedigree to succeed him in 2023

The administration of Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa has received kudos for the giant stride already achieved in its developmental programmes.

In a chat with the team of Raw Reporters in Asaba, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Matters, Chief Omoru David, elucidated on how the present administration is working tirelessly to deliver prosperity to all Deltans and other sundry issues.

The veteran journalist, publisher, human rights activist and astute politician, Olorogun David Omoru commended the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental strides in the State particularly his human capital and infrastructural development, even as he pleaded with Deltans to vote Okowa's kind of person to succeed the governorship seat come 2023.

“Our Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, certainly has performed beyond expectations, considering the situation he met on May 29, 2015. He has done a lot in terms of infrastructure, construction of roads, bridges that cuts across all 25 local government areas of the State.

“He has also done well in the aspect of human capital development, in the entrepreneurship and training of youths. He has worked magic in the agriculture sector, and this is helped by the fact his road constructions weiut was extended to the riverine communities and these have resulted in all-round development of the State, hence he is called ‘Road Master’.

The renowned grassroots politician explained that the Governor has restored the confidence reposed in him as he is fondly called EKWUEME and reaffirmed he's source of pride and blessing to the vast majority, and we need to maintain that legacy by voting someone with same pedigree to succeed him, come 2023.

“Haven seen and studied all governorship aspirants, the State need someone that will consolidate or continue from where Governor Okowa will stop and that is no other person than Chief James Augoye.

“Yes, all the aspirants are very qualified as Deltans, but no doubt Chief James Augoye, Former Honourable Commissioner for Works have proven to be someone who really steps in the shoes of Governor Okowa, to succeed him in office.

“Reasons are very clear for us to see. Firstly, when you talk about Governor Okowa being the Road Master today, you must mention the man behind the ministry of works. If the commissioner was not functioning or being inactive to do the much he did, Okowa wouldn't have earned the name, Road Master. Praise of Road Master also goes to Chief Augoye.

“Since he has done that and lot of others which time will fail me to mention, I am very sure he can succeed Governor Okowa and deliver from where he would stop.

“True, it is difficult to know the heart of man through his face, but from all indications, Chief James Augoye has proven to be a very loyal person and a man who have high respect for elders, the party and leadership in general.

“So, that is why am calling on all Deltans to support him, even as I equally call on our incumbent Governor to actually discus and throw his weight behind Augoye's aspiration in the fact that he's handing over to someone who will continue to build Delta State”, Olorogun concluded.
