Augoye, the cynosure of all eyes at Delta State PDP mega rally

LAST Saturday, will remain significant for the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, his former Works Commissioner, Chief James Augoye and Urhobo nation as the Delta State chapter of the PDP held a mega rally that turned out to be a political carnival. 


The political rally which was held at the Cenotaph, Asaba, the State capital territory was organised to welcome decampees of the opposition parties in the State including the All Progressive Congress,  APC.


The historic political event was graced by the State Deputy Governor, Barrister KINGSLEY Otuaro, the state party chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, Former Governor James Onanefe Ibori, Federal and State legislators, Civil commissioners, government and party functionaries, leaders including Hon. Chief James Augoye and his formost support group, the 3RD Force-2023 amongst others. 


The political gathering was of course of an avenue for speechification, and the speeches were that of sterling achievements, promises, hopes, and impediments, and affirmation made to rounds of applause again and again. 


Tales of the evolutionary process of the party, PDP would not be complete without copious mentions or references to Urhobo and its sons and daughters who have played leading roles, and are in the frontline of the party in Delta state and Nigeria at large.



Yes, Chief James Augoye is a pillar of the party not just in Urhobo nation but the State and the nation, Nigeria, and he has always immensely supported the party financially, in planning and strategizing which again and again has seen the people of Urhobo voting en masse for the PDP in all elections since 1999. 


And last Saturday he didn't disappoint as he helped mobilize party faithfuls to come out in their large numbers in support of the party, the PDP.


The crowd last week's Saturday in Asaba was mammoth. and Cbief James Augoye, who declared his intention to contest for the governorship seat and has full support of Deltans, was the cynosure of all eyes as his teeming supporters, farmers, market men and women, students, academics, transporters, youths, fathers and mothers, hearts aflame with joy in well designed t-shirts carrying various placards, banners with different inscriptions, and pictures of Governor Okowa and Chief James Augoye stood out prominently and resplendently in the crowd. 


The mass mobilisation and support for Chief James Augoye was unprecedented. And the enthusiasm showed by his large supporters was awesome and encouraging. 


The supporters under various support groups joyfully danced, gyrated with endless songs in their throats and, various chants of support for Governor Okowa and Chief Augoye’s candidature rented the air.



To the question to be asked, Why the abundant goodwill and the unalloyed support of the people of Delta State lavished on Chief James Augoye so freely on Saturday? 


Simple, the plenty goodwill and massive supports built largely around Chief James Augoye is an eloquent and moving testimony of his innumerable humanitarian efforts. 


Yes, the people saw in Chief James Augoye a man with ideas and vision. 


The Urhobo people saw passion in his promise.


And indeed Deltans and Non-Deltans  who were present saw power in his purpose.


Oh what a leader, the good people of Urhobo, again saw altruism in his intention. 


And finally, they saw in Chief James Augoye ideal wealth of knowledge will ventilate their aspirations, needs and fears in the 2023 Governorship Position and attract developmental projects to all nooks and crannies of Delta State and get Deltans empowered economically and gainfully employed.


For the people of Urhobo nation, Chief James Augoye’s aspiration is a task to which they must contribute.


True, the mega political rally of the Delta State chapter of the People's Democratic Party has come and go, but then, the choice of the peace-loving people of Delta Central come 2023 is no other than Chief James Augoye who has a solid reputation and with advantage of well earned experience. 


For now, it is PDP all the way and our man for the 2023 Governorship position is CHIEF JAMESAUGOYE, the cynosure of all eyes.

Governor Okowa's EA, Onisuru Salami to bury Mother September 16

By Raw Reporters The burial ceremony of late Mrs. Queen Salami (Sisi, Nime), mother of the Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Rural and Community Development, Chief Onisuru Odiriverere Salami, has been scheduled to hold on Friday, September 16, 2022. According to the statement released by the son of the deceased, Chief Onisuru Odiriverere Salami, there would be a Service of Songs on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Chief Salami Ajakaye Compound, Urhuoka - Abraka, by 4:00 pm. The Funeral Service is to be held the next day, Friday, September 16, 2022 by 10:00am prompt, at the Campus 1 Field, Delta State University, Abraka and it will be anchored by the First Baptist Church, Urhuoka - Abraka. The reception/entertainment of guests would follow immediately at the same venue, Delta State University Abraka, Campus 1 Field.
