Forum of Presidents-General Lauds Governor Okowa On Improved Peace Across Delta

The Delta State Forum of Kingdoms and Clans/Communities Presidents-General, has lauded the State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for his good governance in all sector, particularly in prioritising the peace and security of the people in the grassroots, making the state investor-friendly.


Giving this commendation in a meeting held at Abraka River Motel on May 1st, 2023 through its Executive Committee, the Forum which comprises of all Kingdoms and Clans/Communities Presidents-General across the state, also took a decision to confer on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa an 'Amiable Governor's Award', in order to appreciate him for the good governance as he finish strong..


According to the Chairman of the body, Prince Igwe Nzekwe and the Secretary, Hon. Mathew Akpofa, the Forum took time to x-rayed the eight years of Governor Okowa's Governance in the state, and from the point of view of members having in mind the pervading peace, unity, good governance, infrastructural and human capital development, that are visible throughout the length and breadth of the state, coupled with the resounding victory at the just concluded polls from the grassroots which is the domain of the forum, cannot go unnoticed, hence the award.


In their words, "The Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's led administration in Delta State has placed a high priority on peace and security, which had led to a more peaceful co-existence between the citizens across all nooks and crannies of the state, as well as increase in oil and gas production, and additional revenues for the country.


"As Grand Patron of this noble body, the Governor's efforts in carrying-along this able body that cuts across the seven ethnic nationalities in the state contributed to the internal peace in the area, through this body that speaks in one voice as a people under one canopy.


"We have therefore resolved to put this period of governance in the sands of time for the present and future generations of Deltans by awarding our grand patron, His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa with the first of its kind "Amiable Governor's Award".


According to the forum, "the event is to be witnessed by Deltans at home and in Diaspora, Captains of Industries, Government Officials, Traditional Rulers, Market Women, Widows, Students, the Business community and indeed all and sundry".


The forum also noted that the event shall subject to the overriding convenience of His Excellency to hold at a date and venue approved by him.

Governor Okowa's EA, Onisuru Salami to bury Mother September 16

By Raw Reporters The burial ceremony of late Mrs. Queen Salami (Sisi, Nime), mother of the Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Rural and Community Development, Chief Onisuru Odiriverere Salami, has been scheduled to hold on Friday, September 16, 2022. According to the statement released by the son of the deceased, Chief Onisuru Odiriverere Salami, there would be a Service of Songs on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Chief Salami Ajakaye Compound, Urhuoka - Abraka, by 4:00 pm. The Funeral Service is to be held the next day, Friday, September 16, 2022 by 10:00am prompt, at the Campus 1 Field, Delta State University, Abraka and it will be anchored by the First Baptist Church, Urhuoka - Abraka. The reception/entertainment of guests would follow immediately at the same venue, Delta State University Abraka, Campus 1 Field.
