Okoro Mourns, Extols Tim Owhefere

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Rural and Community Development, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, has expressed sadness over the death of Majority Leader and Member representing Isoko North Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Timothy Oghenekome Owhefere. Hon. Tim Owhefere passed on Wednesday night after a brief illness at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, at the age of 57 years. In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Comrade Oku Victory, Hon. Okoro described Tim's death as a huge national loss given his unalloyed dedication, commitment and relentless sacrifices towards the unity, development and stability of Isoko Nation and indeed Delta State. Delta Exco approves construction of 13 roads, flyover

Delta State Executive Council (Exco) on Tuesday, approved the construction of thirteen roads across the state and a flyover along Ibusa Road at Koka junction, Asaba.  The Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this during a post-exco briefing in Asaba. He said that the decisions reached at the meeting on the projects and other issues would impact positively on the lives of Deltans. Aniagwu, who was in company with his Works counterpart, Chief James Augoye, said, “today, at Exco meeting presided by our Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, a lot of projects were approved for construction and with me here is my brother the Commissioner for works who will brief you on the road projects. Augoye said the Ministry will complete the procurement processes for the projects by the end of January, 2021.
